Shannon LaBelle, MA, RP
As a Registered Psychotherapist and Co-founder of the Centre for Hope and Recovery, Shannon LaBelle works alongside individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and the lasting effects of overwhelming experiences. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that every person possesses an innate capacity for healing.
Shannon integrates body-based therapies, attachment theory, Polyvagal Theory, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, self-compassion, and cognitive and narrative approaches to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. She is especially passionate about helping clients move beyond patterns of survival toward greater resilience, self-understanding, and connection.
In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Shannon develops and facilitates trauma recovery groups and provides clinical consultation and debriefing for organizations supporting individuals affected by trauma and exploitation. Her years of experience in community mental health, addictions, and trauma-informed care have shaped a therapeutic style that is both deeply empathic and grounded in evidence-based practice.
Shannon considers it a privilege to accompany people on their healing journeys and believes that hope, when nurtured within a safe therapeutic relationship, can become a powerful catalyst for lasting change.
